If your business is new-ish (less than 2 years old) or you’re still refining your services and products constantly you need to wait to hire a designer to build your website. If you invest in a website before you have your offers 80% solidified you’re going to end up having to redesign your website again a month later because your offers have changed. <<< This is why you need to confidently be able to edit your website yourself.

Honestly, I think ^^^ this is one of the most common reasons why someone wouldn’t want to hire a designer. And my inner #enneagram8 is nodding in respect. If you haven’t planned ahead and booked your website design at least 2 months in advance—you’re not ready to hire a designer yet. Not only are most designer’s booked out a few months out. But you also need to plan ahead and get your website content ready for the new design. And expecting your designer to move the moon and stars, rushing to build out your website quickly is going to turn into a bad investment faster than you can say website.
You Can Only Afford to Invest in a Website Designer But Nothing Else
Your website is only one piece of the website puzzle. If you’re going to invest in a custom website you should also most likely be investing in hiring a copywriter, brand photographer, and brand strategist. Your website is like a house and if you don’t have a solid foundation for your website to stand on your investment isn’t going to get you the same results it would if you invested in those other three things too.
